4-14 CHAPTER 4: NETWARE 4.1 SERVER DRIVER INSTALLATION
The Protocols/Parameters dialog box in Figure 4-8
reappears. If this is the second installation of the
driver, the Protocol and Parameter box titles will
read 3C971F_2. The third installation will use
3C971F_3, and so forth.
Go to step 1 at the beginning of this section and
repeat the configuration procedure.
Editing the AUTOEXEC.NCF File
Before exiting the NetWare utility, you must add the
ASIG command to the AUTOEXEC.NCF file. This
command loads the communication software for
switched virtual circuits and should be included in the
bootup sequence. If the command is not added, you
must issue the ASIG command manually each time
the server is rebooted or turned on.
To add the ASIG command to the AUTOEXEC.NCF
file, access the NetWare Installation Options dialog
box shown in Figure 4-1 and follow these steps:
1 Select

NCF files options

as shown in Figure 4-17.
This opens the AUTOEXEC.NCF file for editing.
