4Grab both inject handles and push them inward. This locks the card into the chassis. You may have to apply considerable pressure to the handles. An audible “click” indicates that the connectors have engaged.
5Tighten the card’s securing screws. You are now ready to connect cables to the appropriate ports of the module.

1Disconnect the cables from the card's ports. Ensure that there is a record of where the cables are attached so that you can correctly
2Loosen the screws at the extreme right and left of the card, near the insert/eject handles.
3Grasp the insert/eject handles of the card you want to replace and push them outward. This ejects the card. You may have to apply considerable force to the handles. You will hear a “click” to indicate that the connections have separated, and the card will slide slightly forward out of the CoreBuilder chassis.
4If you are replacing the entire interface card, remove the new card from its antistatic bag. Place the old card in the antistatic bag and set it aside in a safe place.
Fan Tray | To replace the fan tray: |
1Loosen the screws at the top and bottom of the fan tray.
2Pull the fan tray out of the chassis.
3Remove the new fan tray from its antistatic bag. Place the old fan tray in the antistatic bag and set it aside in a safe place.
4Orient the fan tray so its labelling is upright.
5Insert the new fan tray into the chassis by placing it between the guides of the slot and sliding it until it stops.
6Tighten the fan tray’s securing screws.
