1Insert a recordable MD into the disc drive with the label side up and in the direction of the arrow.

2 Prepare the source to be recorded.

To record from a tape, load the tape and use the TAPE +>,

++and > buttons to advance the tape to the position to start recording.

To record from a CD, load a CD and select the track with which recording is to be started using the ++, >F buttons or the MULTI JOG dial.

To record from the radio, press the TUNER/BAND button and tune in to the desired station.

3 Press the MD REC button.

The unit enters the recording standby mode.

4 When recording from a tape, press the TAPE + button or the MD E button to start playback of the tape and recording onto the MD.

When recording from a CD, press the CD F button or the MD - button to start recording. When recording form the radio, press the MD - button to start recording.

To stop recording

Press the button. When recording stops, TOC-EDIT flashes and the contents (TOC) of the recording are recorded on the MD.

To add index marks during recording

Press the ENTER button, and an index mark is registered.

EXTENDED (MONAURAL)

RECORDING

Twice as long as the time printed on the MD can be obtained if you select the monaural recording mode.

Monaural recording mode is available when recording from the tape or the radio.
