iMac (17-inch Mid 2006/Late 2006 CD) Take Apart — Inverter 62

Removing the Inverter

Remove three pieces of tape that secure the inverter cables to the back of the display panel,

and disconnect the two white inverter connectors shown.

Using a at-blade screwdriver as shown, pry up the inverter to remove it from inside the

display panel mounting bracket.

When I type, strange characters appear on the screen. The USB port on my keyboard doesnt work. Error Beep(s) USB A USB device doesnt work I see a message saying not enough power to function.
