Use this chapter when you need to migrate data from an AppleShare IP (ASIP) 6.3.3 server to a different computer running version 10.4.

This chapter tells you what you can migrate, and then explains how.

Before You Begin

Before using the instructions in this chapter, perform initial setup of the version 10.4 server to which you’ll migrate data. See the getting started guide for instructions.

Understanding What You Can Migrate

The information in “Step-by-Step Instructions” on page 87 describes how to reuse the following data with version 10.4:

ÂUser data, including home directories

If you’re using either of the following, make a note of any settings you want to continue to use, then see the document indicated for instructions on re-creating the settings after using the instructions in this chapter.
