Chapter 6: Companion Programs
Pocket Excel
Pocket Excel works with Microsoft® Excel on your computer, providing easy access to copies of spreadsheets. You can also create new spreadsheets on your device or copy spreadsheets from your computer.
To create a new file, tap 
, Programs, Pocket Excel, then New. Or, from the Today screen, tap New, then Excel Workbook. Only one spreadsheet can be opened at a time; when you open a second you will have to save the first. Spreadsheets can be saved in a variety of formats including Excel (.xls) and Pocket Excel (.pls).
Pocket Excel contains a list of stored files. Tap a file to open it, and tap and hold to delete, make copies of, or send it from the
Pocket Excel provides fundamental spreadsheet tools such as formulas, functions, sorting and filtering. To display toolbar, tap View then Toolbar.
Cell contents appear here as you enter them.
Format button.
AutoSum button.
Zoom button.
Note If your spreadsheet contains sensitive information, you can protect it with a password. To do so, open the file, tap Edit, then Password. Every time you open that file, you will need to enter the password.
