Microstep Resolution Select (MSEL)
TheMSEL parameter specifies the microstep resolution of the DSM. The following table lists
validMSE L parameter settings:
MSELvalue: Stepsper revolutio n MSELvalue: Stepsper revolutio n
1200 64 12800
2400 100 20000
4800 108 21600
(1micr ostep = 1 arc minute)
51000 125 25000
81600 127 25400
(1micr ostep = 0.001 mm)
10 2000 128 25600
16 3200 180 36000(1 micr ostep = 0.01°)
25 5000 200 40000
32 6400 250 50000
50 10000 256 51200
MotorRun Current (MRC)
TheMotor Run C urrent (MRC) parameter sets the motor run current to a perc entage of the full
outputcur rent of the DSM driver section.
HoldCurrent Delay Time (HCDT)
TheHCDT parameter sets the delay timebetween the last clock pulse and the application of
theholding curr ent.
MotorHold Curr ent (MHC)
TheMHC par ameter sets the motor hold current as a percentage of the full output cur rent of
thedriver. If the hold cur rent is set to 0, the output circuitry of the driver section will disable
whenthe hold c urrent setting becomes active. Following the last s tep clock pulse, the hold
currentsetting becomes active after the periodspecified by HCDT.
Direction Override (DIR)
TheDIR parameterc hanges the motor direction relative to the direction input signal, adapting
thedirect ion of the DSM to operate as your system requires.
Factorybutton
TheFact ory button resets each parameter in the software to fac tory default values. Click Set
toapply thes e values.
Recall!and Upgrade! menu options
TheRec all! option uploads the existing parameter settings from the DSM.
TheUpgr ade! option (if present) must not be used! It currently has no purpose and will
erasethe f irmware on the DSM, leaving it inoperable. If you have accidentally s elected the
Upgrade!option, pleas e contact Baldor customer support.
