2.2 Receiving and inspection
Whenyou r eceive your DSM, there are several things y ou should do immediately:
1. Check the condition of the packaging and report any damage immediately to the carri er
thatdeliver ed your DSM.
2. Remove the DSM from the shipping container and remov e all packing material. The container
andpac king materials may be retained for future shipment.
3. Verifythat the cat alog number of the DSM you received is the same as the catalog
numberlist ed on your purchase order. Thecatalog/ part number is described in the next
section.
4. Inspect the DSM for external damage during shipment and report any damage to the
carrier that delivered it.
5. Ifthe DSM is tobe stored for sev eral weeks before use, be sure that it is stored in a
locationthat conformsto the st orage humidity and temperature specifications shown in
section3.1.1.

2.2.1 Identifying thecatalog number

Differentmodels of D SM are available. As a reminder of which product has been installed, it is
agood idea to write t he catalog number in the space provided below.
