Game/MIDI

The system board is equipped with a 15-pin connector at location J8 for connecting an external game/MIDI port. One card-edge bracket, mounted with a serial port cable and a game/MIDI port cable, is provided with the system board. Install the card-edge bracket to the system chassis then connect the game/MIDI port cable to connector J8. Make sure the colored stripe on the ribbon cable is aligned with pin 1 of connector J8.

The Game/MIDI port is identical to that of a standard PC game adapter or game I/O port. This port works well with any application that is compatible with the standard PC joystick.
