Reverting to a Previous Color Balance

The Revert button may be used to return to the set of color balance numbers in eﬀect before the last Auto Balance was performed. Revert will also change the ﬁlter numbers back to their previous values. This can be useful for experimenting with the ﬁlter values, allowing you to try a set of values, then reverting quickly to the previous values without additional typing.

Tagging Images with ICC Proﬁles

For use in a color managed workﬂow, images may be tagged with an ICC proﬁle. When a proﬁle is selected from the popup menu at the bottom of the Color panel, the TIFF ﬁle for the image will have an ICC proﬁle embedded into the image ﬁle. Initially, there are no proﬁles loaded in the popup menu. Use the Add Proﬁle button next to the Proﬁle popup to select a proﬁle to add to the menu. Since proﬁles can be added at any time, a proﬁle can be created and added to the popup menu with- out stopping the ViewFinder program. When the Add Proﬁle button is clicked, a list of the proﬁles stored in the system’s proﬁle folder will be presented in a ﬁle selection window. When the desired pro- ﬁle is highlighted and the OK button clicked, the proﬁle’s name will appear in the popup menu.

The Remove Proﬁle button will remove the proﬁle from the popup menu only, it will not delete the proﬁle from your computer.
