Reverting to a Previous Color Balance

The Revert button may be used to return to the set of color balance numbers in effect before the last Auto Balance was performed. Revert will also change the filter numbers back to their previous values. This can be useful for experimenting with the filter values, allowing you to try a set of values, then reverting quickly to the previous values without additional typing.

Tagging Images with ICC Profiles

For use in a color managed workflow, images may be tagged with an ICC profile. When a profile is selected from the popup menu at the bottom of the Color panel, the TIFF file for the image will have an ICC profile embedded into the image file. Initially, there are no profiles loaded in the popup menu. Use the Add Profile button next to the Profile popup to select a profile to add to the menu. Since profiles can be added at any time, a profile can be created and added to the popup menu with- out stopping the ViewFinder program. When the Add Profile button is clicked, a list of the profiles stored in the system’s profile folder will be presented in a file selection window. When the desired pro- file is highlighted and the OK button clicked, the profile’s name will appear in the popup menu.

The Remove Profile button will remove the profile from the popup menu only, it will not delete the profile from your computer.
