Executing troubleshooting programs from the command line:

All the programs discussed must be executed from the com- mand line of your operating system. To reach the command line on Windows 95 and 98 systems, click on START>PROGRAMS and Select the MS-DOS®prompt. Then enter your command.

On Windows XP systems, click on START>PROGRAMS> and select ACCESSORIES then COMMAND LINE. Then enter your command.

On other systems, select “Run” from the main menu and enter “cmd.” Then enter your command.

TO EXIT THE COMMAND LINE: Enter EXIT.
