9-1 Spreadsheet Overview

This section describes the Spreadsheet application screen, and provides basic information about its menus and commands.

kUsing the S SHT Mode

On the Main Menu, select the S SHT icon.

This will enter the S SHT mode and display a spreadsheet.

The first time you enter the S SHT mode, the calculator will automatically create a file named “SHEET” for the displayed spreadsheet.

kSpreadsheet Screen Configuration

A spreadsheet consists of a “cells” and their contents as shown below.

File name

Shows as many characters as possible of the file name.

Row numbers (1 to 999)

Edit box

Shows the contents of the cell where the cell cursor is currently located. When multiple cells are selected, the edit box indicates the selected cell range.

Column letters (A to Z)

Function menu

Each cell can contain a value, expression, text, or a formula. Formulas can contain a reference to a specific cell or a range of cells.

Each cell has a unique name, consisting of its column letter and row number. The name of the cell where the cell cursor is located in the above example is “A1”.
