8If you are not replacing the drive, reinstall the drive panel insert (see "Replacing the Floppy Drive Panel Insert" on page 139).

9Replace the computer cover (see "Replacing the Computer Cover" on page 166).

10Connect your computer and devices to electrical outlets, and then turn them on.

11Check the system setup for the appropriate diskette Drive Option changes (see "Entering System Setup" on page 174).

Installing a Floppy Drive

1Follow the procedures in "Before You Begin" on page 101.

2Remove the computer cover (see "Removing the Computer Cover" on page 103).

3Remove the bezel (see "Removing the Bezel" on page 123).

4If you are installing a new floppy drive rather than replacing a drive, align the tip of a Phillips screwdriver with the slot on the break-away metal plate and rotate the screwdriver outwards to break the metal plate.

5Gently slide the floppy drive into place in the FlexBay slot.

6Align the screw holes in the floppy drive with the screw holes in the FlexBay.
