For secure communication, y ou can choose to communicate with Offsite Backup Server in S SL (Secure Socket
Layer) by selecting the [https] option.
The [Address] field shows the Offsite Backup Server to which Better Edge Backup will connect to authenticate y our
username and password. You can use either a resolvable host n ame (e.g. backup.your-domain.com) or an IP
address (e.g. 192.168.1.1).
If the Of fsite Backup S erver is not accepting connection from the standard ports (Port 80 and 443 for http and
https respectively), you can append a semi-colon “:” and the custom p ort number to the host name of the
[Address] field (e.g. www.backup-provider.com:8080) to co nnect to the server using the custom port n umber
(port 8080 in this case).
If you need to connect to the server through proxy , just enter you r proxy setting in the [Proxy Setting] section.
For [SOCKS] proxy, both v4 and v5 without user authentication are supported.
4.3 Language Selection You can switch the language of the Better Edge Backup user interface by choosing the desired language av ailable
from th e [Language] drop down list. The languages available in cludes English, Czech, Danish, Dutch, French,
Spanish, Portuguese, Icelandic, Norwegian, Finnish, Italian, German, Swed ish, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified),
Japanese, Lithuanian and Slovenian.
