Safety Notes

Product Damage

Improper cabling damages your product.

Tie the 48 V power cable to the most positive side. For example, if the power supply is labeled -48 V and RETURN, connect the 48 V power cable to RETURN. If the power supply is labeled +48 V and GND, connect the 48 power cable to +48 V.

Personal Injury

Hazardous energy levels may be present inside the enclosure.

To prevent serious injury or death from dangerous voltages, do not touch any of the exposed wires or terminals inside the enclosure. Only properly trained service personnel should remove or install power supplies.

Fans/Blowers

System Damage AXP

If it takes longer than 1 minute to replace an FTM, the system may be damaged.

Make sure the replacement FTM is available and ready to install. Replace the FTM within the 1- minute recommended service interval.

System Damage 31k/4100

Running the system longer than 30 seconds with less than three blowers damages the system. Make sure the replacement blower is available and ready to install. Replace the blower within the 30-second recommended service interval.

System Damage

Insufficient cooling may damage the system.

The cooling system is designed to provide sufficient cooling with a single fan tray at work. However, under bad conditions or due to a failure of the remaining fans, the cooling capacity of a single fan tray may not suffice.

Perform the fan tray replacement without delays.
