4.Locate the four retaining screws that came with your disk drive. Insert two screws into the oval holes on each side of the drive bay and tighten them with a screwdriver, as shown below.

If you are installing a diskette drive, go to step 5. If you are installing a hard disk drive, go to step 6.

5.If you are installing a diskette drive in the lower drive bay, you may want to turn the subassembly upside down and place it on your work surface. Then locate the diskette drive ribbon cable; one end is connected to the top diskette drive and the other end is free. Use the connector in the middle of the cable to connect the second drive.

As shown in the next illustration, there is a large slot in this connector with a small plastic divider near one end of the slot.
