Editing the internal time code generator setting

You can check the generator mode, time code value and user bit of the internal time code generator, as well as can edit the time code start time for the “FREE RUN” or “REC RUN” mode and the user bit for the “FREE RUN” mode.

1.Select the “Set Gen. TC ” menu and press the [ENTER] key.

The display shows the current internal time code generator setting information (generator mode, TC start time and user bit), which can be edited.

<Notes>

In the field where “[Run mode]” is shown on the upper left screen example, the current generator mode (“FREE RUN”, “REC RUN”, “24H RUN” or “EXT RUN”) is shown.

If no time code is fed to the PD-6 in the “EXT RUN” mode, “<<EXT TC Non!>>” is shown.

In the “REC RUN” or “24H RUN” mode, user bit is not shown.

If you just check the information and do not make any editing, press the [EXIT] key to exit the TC Setup mode.

Only when the time code generator mode is set to “FREE RUN”, “REC RUN” or “24H RUN”, you can edit the start time by the procedure below.

2.Press the [ENTER] key.

The frame value of time code starts flashing. You can now edit the start time of the internal time code generator.

3.Use the [ SKIP/CURSOR ] keys to move the edit position between the time digits and use the [SEL] dial (or the numeric keys) to enter a desired value.

After entering the whole time code value, press the [ENTER] key to confirm the setting. Pressing the [CLEAR] key clears the time value to zero.

<Notes>

Only when the time code generator mode is set to “FREE RUN” and the “Gen Ubit” menu is set to “<user>”, you can also edit the user bit on this screen. In this condition, after step 2 above, you can use the [ SKIP/ CURSOR ] keys to moves the cursor position among the “TC” and “Ubit” digits. So use the similar manner as described in step 3 above to edit “TC” and “Ubit”, then press the [ENTER] key to confirm all the setting.

After editing the generator start time, recording to a new file in the “REC RUN” mode starts from the new start time.

4.Press the [EXIT] key to exit the TC Setup mode.
