Memory
Four DIMM sockets on the system board support up to 4.0 Gigabytes (GB) of PC/133 SDRAM.
The DRAM DIMMs supported by the system board conform to the following standards:
■128 MB, 256 MB, 512 MB, and 1024 MB ECC DIMMs
■
■128 MB minimum system memory
■4.0 GB maximum system memory
When you select and install DIMMs, keep the following in mind:
■Do not use unbuffered DIMMs.
■Memory should be added in order, from DIMM 1 to DIMM 4.
■There can be no empty slots between installed DIMMs.
■No jumper settings are required for the memory size or type because the BIOS automatically detects this information.
Important Gateway recommends that you purchase memory upgrades through Gateway sales. An incorrect memory match may adversely affect the performance of the server.
