5Remove the three screws that secure the power supply to the back panel, then slide the power supply toward the front of the server to free it from the pin on the bottom of the server and lift it out of the chassis.

6Place the new power supply in the chassis making sure the pin on the bottom of the chassis passes through the hole on the power supply bracket.

7Replace the screws you removed in Step 5 above.

8Reconnect the cables you removed in Step 3.

9Replace the air duct you removed in Step 4.

10Close the case. See “Closing the case” on page 20.

11Reconnect the power cord and all external peripherals, then turn on the system.

Replacing a blower

The blowers are located between the hot-plug backplane and the system board.
