
SECTION 6: MAINTENANCE
Always disconnect power to the machine before performing maintenance. Failure to do this may result in serious person- al injury.
Schedule
For optimum performance from your machine, follow this maintenance schedule and refer to any specific instructions given in this section.
Daily Check:
•Inspect blades for damage or wear.
•Check for loose mounting bolts/arbor nut.
•Check cords, plugs, and switch for damage.
•Any other condition that could hamper the safe operation of this machine.
•Vacuum dust buildup from inside the cabinet and off of the motor after use.
•Wipe the table clean after every
Weekly Maintenance:
•Wipe down the table surface and grooves with a lubricant and rust preventive such as SLIPIT®.
•Clean the pitch and resin from the saw blade with a cleaner like OxiSolv® Blade & Bit Cleaner.
Monthly Check:
•Check the flat belt for damage or wear.
Cleaning
Cleaning the Model G0651/G0652 is relatively easy. Vacuum excess wood chips and sawdust, and wipe off the remaining dust with a dry cloth. If any resin has built up, use a resin dissolving cleaner to remove it. Treat all unpainted cast iron and steel with a
Occasionally it will become necessary to clean the internal parts with more than a vacuum. To do this, remove the table top and clean the internal parts with resin/pitch dissolver or mineral spirits and a stiff wire brush or steel wool. DO NOT USE
Lubrication
Lubricate the areas indicated below every
