The Preferences tab
Use the Preferences tab to select the display mode, and customize button settings and certain power options.
To prevent inadvertently turning on your Pocket PC, you can disable the Record button and the HP hot keys. On the Preferences tab, select the Disable record button and/or the Disable HP hot keys check boxes.
You can set your Pocket PC to turn on whenever you tap the touch screen. On the Preferences tab, select the Tap screen to power on check box.

This section provides some tips to safeguard your HP Jornada and the data it holds from theft or loss. You can set a password to protect your data and keep a record of when someone tries to access data on your HP Jornada.
Setting a password
Use the HP security application to prevent unauthorized access to your HP Jornada and the data it holds. You can set a password to protect your data, set a reminder password, and keep a record of when anyone attempts to access data on your HP Jornada.
