Description/Corrective Action

 

 

1 flash — 1 second — 1 flash…etc.

System controller CPU fault.

 

ACTION:

Contact your dealer or Digital.

 

 

2 flashes — 1 second — 2 flashes…etc.

Base RAM fault.

 

ACTION:

Contact your dealer or Digital.

 

 

3 flashes — 1 second — 3 flashes…etc.

ROM fault.

 

ACTION:

Remove the PostScript SIMM, if installed,

 

 

and test the printer again. If the problem

 

 

is resolved, replace the PostScript SIMM. If

 

 

the problem is not resolved, contact your

 

 

dealer or Digital.

 

 

4 flashes — 1 second — 4 flashes…etc.

System controller to print engine fault.

 

ACTION:

Make sure the controller board is firmly

 

 

seated. If the problem is not resolved,

 

 

contact your dealer or Digital.

 

 

5 flashes — 1 second — 5 flashes…etc.

Resolution enhancement self-test fault.

 

ACTION:

Contact your dealer or Digital.

 

 

6 flashes — 1 second — 6 flashes…etc.

Communications ports internal loopback test fault.

 

ACTION:

Contact your dealer or Digital.

 

 

7 flashes — 1 second — 7 flashes…etc.

Slot SIM2 fault.

 

ACTION:

Perform the corrective actions listed under

 

 

0100 in Table 6.2 on page 6-6.

 

 

8 flashes — 1 second — 8 flashes…etc.

Slot SIM3 fault.

 

ACTION:

Perform the corrective actions listed under
