Using the HP Printer Utility (Macintosh)

The HP Printer Utility contains tools to calibrate the printer, clean the print cartridges, print a test page, print a configuration page for the printer, and find Web site support information.

Opening the HP Printer Utility

1.Double-click the Macintosh HD icon on the desktop.

2.Select Applications, select Utilities, and then select HP Printer Selector.

3.Select Photosmart Pro B8300 series and click Launch Utility.

Viewing the HP Printer Utility panels

The following options are available on the HP Inkjet Toolbox Panel menu:

Sample Page: Prints a sample page to view the print output quality.

Supplies Status: Shows print-cartridge ink levels.

Test: Prints a test page or a configuration page.

Clean: Cleans the print cartridges.

Align: Aligns the print cartridges.

Color Calibration: Adjusts color to correct tint problems. Color calibration only occurs when the color and photo print cartridges are installed.

Supply Info: Shows print-cartridge replacement information.

HP Support: Provides access to the HP Web site where you can register the printer and find support for the printer and information about HP products and supplies.
