NOTE: | If you specify an interrupt for the network board that is already being used by another |
| device, you can still install the network board but the network software will not run |
| successfully. |
| • Base I/O port |

| The base input/output port is a channel used by the network board to transfer |
| information to the CPU. Each hardware device included in your client |
| workstation must have a different base I/O port setting. For more information, |
| see the manufacturer’s documentation. |
| The following table shows a list of standard I/O ports and the devices that |
| commonly use them. If a workstation does not have any one of these devices, the |
| I/O port given in the table for that device might be available for other use. |
