Chapter 7: Installing SNA Server Link Services Software

Running the Setup Program

To install the Base driver software, do the following:

1.From the Windows Start menu, choose Run. The Run dialog box appears.

2.Insert the SNA Server CD-ROM.

3.Enter [drive]:\5535SR\base\setup.exe (where

[drive] is the CD-ROM drive), and click OK.

The Interphase 553X Base Driver dialog box appears.

4.If needed, change the default installation path in the Copy To field to the desired pathname. (The default path is C:\WANSETUP.)

5.Click Continue to install the driver.

The installation program copies product files to the directory specified in the Copy To field, and creates a program group in the Windows NT Start menu.

To continue the software installation, set up the adapter’s port properties as described in the next section, Setting Up WAN Properties.
