Chapter 9: Setting up Firmware and Hardware

Saving WAN Adapters Setup Properties

Save any change to WAN adapter firmware, card, and port properties as follows:

1.Apply the changes by clicking the Apply button.

2.Reload the firmware on the card by clicking the Load button. Then follow the onscreen instructions.

3.After the properties have been loaded, click OK to save the reloaded configuration and close the WAN Adapters Setup dialog box.

The configuration software automatically finds the relevant firmware for the adapter. It updates the registry and dynamically updates the drivers.

4.If the Microsoft Windows NT Service Pack is installed, reinstall the Service Pack. (Service Pack 3 or higher is recommended.)

5.To activate new settings, restart your computer. (If you reinstalled the Service Pack, restart the system when prompted at the end of the Service Pack installation.)

After you have set up firmware and hardware properties, if have not completed the software installation procedure, return to the installation steps in the appropriate chapter:
