Verifying Minimum Requirements

4.Add an NDIS logical adapter.

5.Set up network protocol properties.

6.Complete the installation to make settings take effect.

Review the Read Me text file on the iSPAN-Serial WAN CD- ROM before installing the software. It contains information about the files included on the CD. Also, if Read Me First documentation is included in your installation kit, review it for information about changes and updates made to this Users Guide after the print date.

NOTE

The iSPAN-Serial WAN is named 5535-1P-SRin the software installation and configuration dialogs.

Verifying Minimum Requirements

If you have not already done so, verify that your system meets the minimum requirements described in Minimum System Requirements on page 9.

Installing the Drivers

Before you begin, verify that the adapter is installed in your machine, and that you are logged on with administrator rights to the Windows NT 4.0 system.

To install the Base driver and NDIS driver, do the following:

1.From the Windows Start menu, select Settings and then Control Panel. Then double-click the Network icon,
