G. Cutting width

The cutting width dial sets the distance between the needle and where the blades cut fabrics.

Turn the dial until the readout on the display panel is visible in the side door window.

NOTE:

The stitch width of Flat Lock 2 can be adjusted with this dial.

Example:

3 Thread Wide:

Set the cutting width dial to N.

Overcast 2:

Set the cutting width dial to 1.

HINT:

Open the left side cover to fully expose the cutting width dial to more easily turn the dial for wider widths.

IMPORTANT:

Never turn the cutting width dial if threads are forming a stitch around the chaining finger. Remove threads by raising presser foot and gently pulling them to the back.

IMPORTANT:

Switch off the machine when setting up the machine.
