Edit From A		You can use a camcorder as the source player and your
		recorder as the recording deck.
Camcorder		A Make connections.
		... connect the camcorder’s AUDIO OUT and VIDEO
		A If the camcorder has no S-VIDEO output connector ...

A Recorder	VIDEO input	and VIDEO input connectors.
		B If the camcorder has an S-VIDEO output connector ...

		S-VIDEO OUT connectors to the recorder’s front panel
		AUDIO and S-VIDEO input connectors.
		● When using a monaural camcorder, connect its AUDIO OUT
		connector to the AUDIO L input connector on your recorder.
		● For the VHS deck:
		When a Master Edit Control-equipped JVC camcorder is used,
		the camcorder is capable of controlling the recorder. Refer to
	AUDIO input	the camcorder’s instruction manual for operating procedure.
Audio cable (not provided)		B Select the recording deck.
Video cable (not provided)		Slide TV/CABLE/SAT to the right, then press HDD or S-
		VHS.
Camcorder	VIDEO OUT	C Set the recorder’s input mode.
		Press AUX (number key “0”) and/or VCR PR to select
	AUDIO OUT	“F-1”.
		● Set “F-1 INPUT” to “VIDEO” for the VIDEO input connector,
		or “S-VIDEO” for the S-VIDEO input connector, depending on
		the connector being used ( pg. 69).

PlayerD Set the edit mode. (VHS deck only)

B	Recorder	S-VIDEO input	See “PICTURE CONTROL” on page 81.
			E Start the camcorder.
			Engage the Play mode of the camcorder.
			F Start the recorder.
		AUDIO input	Engage the Record mode of the recorder.
	Audio cable (not provided)		NOTES:
			● All necessary cables can be obtained from your dealer.
	S-Video cable (not provided)		● When you select “EDIT” to dub tapes in step D, be sure to
			select “AUTO” (or “NORM” when “B.E.S.T.” is set to “OFF”)
			after you finish dubbing the tapes.
	Camcorder		● For HDD deck, the recording pause takes effect only when the
		S-VIDEO OUT	recorder is recording on the HDD deck with the channel set to
			“L-1”, “F-1”, or “DUB”. The recording pause is released in 5
			minutes automatically. Picture and sound may be distorted at
		AUDIO OUT	the point where the recording pause is released.
			● It is not possible to record only the audio of the connected
			equipment (without pictures) on the HDD deck.
