		You can use a camcorder as the source player and your video
Edit From
		recorder as the recorder.
		You can perform digital dubbing if you connect a device such
		as a camcorder which has a DV output/input connector.
		Because the signals are digital, there is no loss of video or audio
A Camcorder			MAKE CONNECTIONS
		quality as a result of editing.
	1		A If the camcorder has no S-VIDEO output connector...
			... connect the camcorder’s AUDIO/VIDEO OUT
			connectors to the recorder’s front panel AUDIO/
			VIDEO input connectors.

		B If the camcorder has an S-VIDEO output connector...
		... connect the camcorder’s S-VIDEO OUT and
		AUDIO OUT connectors to the recorder’s front
	VHS	panel S-VIDEO and AUDIO input connectors.
PR	A	C If the camcorder has a DV OUT/IN connector...
		... connect the camcorder’s DV OUT/IN connector
		to the recorder’s DV IN/OUT connector.

● When using a monaural camcorder, connect its AUDIO OUT connector to the AUDIO L input connector on your recorder.

● When a Master Edit Control-equipped JVC camcorder is used, the camcorder is capable of controlling the recorder. Refer to the camcorder’s instruction manual for operating procedure.

		SELECT RECORDING DECK
	2 Press VHS or DV.
		SET RECORDER’S INPUT
	3	MODE
		Press PR on the recorder to select "F-1".
		● When using the VHS deck as the recording deck, set
		"VHS F-1 INPUT" to "VIDEO" for the AUDIO/VIDEO
		input connectors, or "S-VIDEO" for the AUDIO/
		S-VIDEO input connectors, depending on the
		connectors being used ( pg. 51).

● When you select EDIT to dub tapes in step 4, be sure to select		See "Picture Control" on page 37.

● When you are editing through the DV IN/OUT connector, the		START CAMCORDER
recorder will stop if the player begins playing a blank portion	5

● To use the DV deck as the recording deck with connection

In step 3, after selecting "F-1",press ← and then press DV to
		START RECORDER
select the DV deck. Then follow the procedures from step 5.	6
To use the VHS deck as the recording deck with connection		Engage its Record mode.

select the VHS deck. Then follow the procedures from step 4.
