NOTES:

●There may be a discrepancy of several seconds between where you intend editing to start, and where it actually starts.

●The on-screen display during the operation or dubbing is not recorded.

●When dubbing from the VHS deck to the DV deck, also set "SOUND MODE" to the appropriate mode ( pg. 35).

●It is impossible to view a satellite broadcast or a scrambled broadcast when the recorder is in the dubbing mode.

●To cancel the dubbing mode, press PR +/– so that the dubbing direction indicator (DV → or ← VHS) goes off.

When dubbing from the DV deck to the VHS deck:

●When dubbing a Mini DV tape that was produced by audio dubbing, you need to set "12BIT MODE" to the appropriate mode before playing the tape ( pg. 35).

You can dub selected scenes on a tape, starting and stopping wherever you wish.

1	LOAD CASSETTES
	Insert a VHS (or S-VHS) cassette and a Mini DV
	cassette.
	SELECT DUBBING
2	DIRECTION
	Press → when you want playback on the DV deck and
	recording on the VHS deck. The dubbing direction
	(DV →) indicator lights.
	OR
	Press ← when you want playback on the VHS deck and
	recording on the DV deck. The dubbing direction
	(← VHS) indicator lights.
3	SET TAPE SPEED
	Press VHS or DV for the recording deck, then press
	SP/LP/EP ( ).
	● "DV → VHS" or "DV ← VHS" appears on the TV
	screen if "O.S.D." is set to "ON". ( pg. 55)
4	LOCATE START POINT
	For the playing deck:
	Press VHS or DV to select the playing deck.
	Press PLAY to start playback of the tape in the playing
	deck, and press PAUSE to pause playback when you
	find the point where you want to start dubbing.
	For the recording deck:
	Press VHS or DV to select the recording deck. Press and
	hold PAUSE and press RECORD so that the recording
	deck enters the Record-Pause mode.
5	START DUBBING
	Press START.
	Dubbing from DV to VHS:
	DV play indicator (#) and VHS record indicator (	)
	light.
	Dubbing from VHS to DV:
	VHS play indicator (#) and DV record indicator (	)
	light.
6	PAUSE DUBBING
	Press START.
7	END DUBBING
	Press STOP. Then press VHS or DV to select the playing
	deck and press STOP.
