3Enter the fax number before loading a document. Why is this important?

If the only record of the fax number you are dialing is printed on the document being sent, it can be difficult to remember the number. Entering the number before loading the document allows you to see the number when keying. Once the number is entered, place the document (face down) on the feeder.
