Paper Display

You can choose to have available paper trays/sizes shown on the in- itial display.

❖Original Type Priority❖Original Type Display Note

If you choose "Hide", the dis- play is shown as below. When the [Auto Paper Select] key is pressed, paper sizes appear on the display.

Original Type Priority

You can select the type of originals effective when the machine is turned on or reset, or when modes are cleared.

Original Type Display

You can choose to have original types shown on the initial display.

❖Auto Image Density Priority❖Copy Quality Note

Auto Image Density Priority

You can turn the Auto Image Den- sity on or off for each original type (Text, Text/Photo, Photo, Pale, and Generation Copy).

Copy Quality

You can adjust the quality level for each original type (Text, Text/Pho- to, Photo, Pale, Generation Copy).

Text

Adjust sharpness.

Text/Photo

When there are photo(s) and text on the original, determine which takes priority.

Photo

For a photo original, adjust the finish quality level to match the photo original.

Pale

Adjust the quality level for a pale original with normal densi- ty.

Generation Copy

Adjust the quality level so as not to thicken the lines of the finish image.

Image Density

If you choose "Hide", the dis- play is shown as below.

You can select one of seven origi- nal image density levels for each original type (Text, Text/Photo, Photo, Pale, Generation Copy).
