4Based on the quantity of sets and the site situation, determine how the
downloadwill occur:
a. Individualdownloads (Use individual commands in LD 32)
b. Systemdownload (Use system download command in LD32)
c. Scheduleddownload/range download (Use scheduled download
commandsin LD 32 and LD 97
5Issuethe appropriate download command.
6Asthe download occurs, the set displays the following information:
Duringa flash download, the M3902, M3903, and M3905 telephones
display messages on the displays at the right. (See Figure 20 on
page125) Display 1 shows the “Erasing Flash Memory” message along
with blocks written tothe secon dline (each with decreasing contrast).
Thisis followed by Display 2 th at reads “Awaiting Download.” Display
3flashes the text “Downloading Firm ware” on the first line with progress
barson the second line. When all 24 segments of the progress bars are
displayed as shown, the download is complete. The tel ephone then resets
andreturns to service.All user-controlled parameters, such as screen
contrast,volume settings, and key labels are not affected by the firmware
download.In the event that the firmware download was not successful,
thet ext “Terminal Out of Service is displayed on the first line. In some
cases,the set erases the flash memory,showing Display 1 followed by
Display 2.
