M3900Series Meridian Digital Telephones Description,Installation and Administration
• When scheduling the Flash Download of sets, note that one hour before
theMidnight routines execute, the flash download process is gracefully
stopped. The Flash downloading resumes once midnight routines are
executed.
• When a schedule is defined in LD 97 and the Flash Download is started
(byentering the FDLS command in LD32), all scheduled sets are queued
fordownload. The download process remains active in the background
untilthe download is complete or is canceled (using the FDLC command
inLD 32). If the download is active in the background (sets not actively
downloadingper the scheduled download time) and the download
scheduleis removed in LD 97, the download begins immediately for the
sets that remain in the download queue. Use the LD x SUSP command
tol oadan overlay when the download is active in the background
(scheduledbut not actively downloading sets). It is also not possible to
perform a single set download (FDLU, FDLI, or FDLF command fro m
LD32) while the download is active in the background. If an individual
downloadis attempted in this case, the system indicates that the P SDL is
notidle. If an individual set download is necessary while the download
isactive in the background, you must cancel the download in LD 32
usingthe FDLC command. Once the individual downloads are complete,
youcan restart the schedule download with the FLDS command in
LD32.
Note: Ifthe force option is used with the FDLS com mand, all sets in the
originalschedule are downloaded.
• For M3900 sets activelybeing flash downloaded when the Flash
DownloadCancel FDLC command is issued, the flash download to these
sets iscompleted before the flash download process cancels.
• M3905 sets acquired by theS ymposiumCall Center Server (SCCS) do
nothave to be de-acquired (pulled out of all queues) before the flash
downloadis started. However, during the download, the agent using the
M3905set is placed in a maintenance-busystate for approximately 12
minutes. As a result, the SCCS is not able to record any agent statistics
foragents using the M3905 sets during the download. The SCCS agent
reports forth einterva lin which the download occurred will, therefore,
beinaccurate.
