Installthe Accessory Connection Module (ACM) into your M3900 Series
MeridianDigital Telephone (refer to the ACM Installation) beforeyou install
yourATA. TheACM provides connection capabilities between the M3902,
M3903,M3904, and M3905 telephones and the ATA.
Toinstall the ATA:
1Disconnectthe line cord from the telephone before installing the ATA.
2Insertthe ATA accessory cartridge into the ACM. The latch should be
at the top.
3Connectthe commercial device you have selected to use, eitheryour
FAXmachine, modem, or analog (500/2500) telephone, to the
connectionon your ATA cartridge interface.
4Plugthe transformer into the electrical outlet (use only the transformer
designedfor your ACM accessories).
5Connectthe Adapter plug, attached to your transformer, into the
telephone wall jack.
The wall transformer Adapter plug attaches between the tel ephone line cord
andthe telephone wall jack.
6Connectthe line cord to the Adapter jack attached to the wall
transformer.
7Reconnectthe line cord back to your telephone base.
Figure13 shows the connections for the wall transformer.

installation and configuration instructions for your external analog
device(FAX machine, modem, or 500/2500 telephone).
Note: TheATA supports connections to POTS services only. ATA does
notsuppor t Features such as Message Waiting, Switchhook Flash/Link,
Transfer,Conference, and CLASS type services.
