Operatingparameters for the Corporate Directory
Theuser must have an M3903, M3904, or M3905 telephone to support the
CorporateDirectory feature. To access the Corporate Directory from the
telephone,the user must have the Corporate Directory Class of Service
enabled.
When theCorporate Directory is being updated with new data, the user
cannotaccess the Corporate Directory. The user exits the Corporate Directory
bypressing the Quit Key or the Applications Key.
TheMAT or Optivity Telephony Manager (OTM) Corporate Directory utility
gathersdata from the MAT or OTM d atabasesand dow nloadsit to the
Meridian 1s ystem.To us e theCorpo rateDirecto ry utility, MAT 6.6 or
OTM1.0 or later must be installed. For Release 25.40, OTM must be used.
Virtual OfficeTheVir tual Office feature allows users to log in to a designated M3903 or
M3904telephone and use their individual telephone configurations at that
telephone.The calls to the user’s primar y DN are routed to the Virtual Office
HostTerminal where the Virtual Office Worker is logged in.
TheHost Terminal is the physical telephone that a user can use to log in as a
VirtualOffice worker. Both the M3903 and M3904 can be configuredas Host
Terminals; however, a Virtual Office Worker is required to login to a Host
Terminalthat matches their Virtual Terminal set type. For example, when the
VirtualTerminal of a Virtual Office Worker is configured as an M3904, the
loginp rocessis b locked if theyatt emptt olo gin to anM 3903 Host Terminal.
TheVirtual Terminal is a set of features configured for a user and defined on
aphantom loop. There is no permanent physical telephone associated with a
VirtualTerminal.
