2. INSTALLATION
(b) Installation of two or more servo amplif iers
Leave a large clearance between the top of the s ervo amplifier and the internal surface of th e control
box, and install a cooling fan to prevent the internal temperature of the control box from exceeding the
environmental conditions.

(3) Others
When using heat generating equipment such as the r egenerative option, install them with full considerati on
of heat generation so that the servo amplif ier is not affected.
Install the servo amplifier on a perpendicular wall in the correc t vertical direction.
2.2 Keep out foreign materials
(1) When installing the unit in a control box, pr event drill chips and wire fragments from enter ing the servo
amplifier.
(2) Prevent oil, water, metallic dust, etc. from entering the servo amplifier through openings in the control box or
a cooling fan installed on the ceiling.
(3) When installing the control box in a place wh ere there are much toxic gas, dirt and dust, cond uct an air
purge (force clean air into the control box fr om outside to make the internal pressure higher t han the
external pressure) to prevent such materials f rom entering the control box.
2.3 Cable stress
(1) The way of clamping the cable must be full y examined so that flexing stress and cable's own we ight stress
are not applied to the cable connection.
(2) For use in any application where the ser vo motor moves, fix the cables (encoder, power s upply, brake) with
having some slack from the connector connection p art of the servo motor to avoid putting stress on t he
connector connection part. Use the optional enc oder cable within the flexing life range. Use the po wer
supply and brake wiring cables within the flexing life of the cables.
