Using a Headset
If you use a headset or similar device with your
phone, you can set your phone to send incoming
sound to the heads et only, or to the he adset and
the speaker at the same tim e.
Note:T he preferred connec tion to your phon e is
a wired audio devic e. If you insert a wire d
headset into the audio jack on your
phone, audio will b e routed to the wire d
headset and you wi ll lose your Bluetoot h
headset connection .
1From the main menu, sele ct Settings >
Advanced > Headset/Sp kr.
2Select HdsetOnly to send incoming sound t o
the headset only. -or-
Select Hdset&Spkr to send incoming sound to
the headset and ring tones to the speaker.

Using a Bluetooth Headset

You can use your i605 wirelessly with a Bluetooth
headset. This type of wire less headset lets you
connect quickly to devices that are within range.
For more information, refer to your Bluetooth
headset’s user guide.

Attaching a Headset

1Lift the audio jack c over.
2Insert the headset conne ctor firmly into the
audio jack. You may have to rotate the headset
connector until it fits secur ely into the audio jack.

Using a Remote PTT Button

If you are using a headset or other accessory with
a remote PTT button, you can use the remote PTT
button for phone calls and Private calls.
For phone calls, use the remote PTT b utton to
answer calls, switch between calls, and end calls.
Hold the remote PTT button for less than 2
seconds to answer calls and sw itch between calls.
Hold the remote PTT button for more than 2
seconds to end calls.
For Private calls, group calls, and SD G calls, use
the remote PTT button as yo u would the PTT
button on your ph one.
Note:W hen using a headset, the PT T button on
your phone works t he same way as when
you are not using a headset. Sounds
associated with Private ca lls, group calls,
and SDG calls are heard through the
headset.
