Enabling Over-the-Air Security
If you are set up to receive over-the-air
programming from your service provider, you must
enable security the f irst time you power on your
phone or within 10 days of first activation of your
phone:
1When you power on your phon e for the first time,
after the idle screen appears, you will be
prompted to select Ok to upda te your browser
information.
Note:I f yo u pr e ss A under Later, you will be
prompted to enable secur ity each time
you power on your p hone until you pres s
A under Ok.
2Press A under Ok.
3You are prompted to enable security. Press A
under Yes. A serie s of screens appe ars. If you
subscribe to your service provider’s plan, your
home page appears.
4Press e to return to the idle s creen.
Phone Programming
Within 24 hours of enabli ng security, you may
receive an alert notif ication containing your Private
ID and Talkgroup lists for Private calls.
To accept programming:
1When you receive an aler t notification saying
New Browser Message - Receive
Programming Info, press O or press A under
Goto.
2You are prompt ed to accept changes to your
lists. Press O or press A under Ok.
3If you are prompted again to ac c ep t cha ng es t o
your lists, press O or press A under Ok.
4A confirmation screen displays. Press O or
press A under Ok.
5Press e to return to the idle s creen.
Finding Your Phone Number and Private ID
My Info lets you v iew your phone num ber, Private
ID, and other phone inf ormation:
1Press m to access the main menu.
2Scroll to My Info.
3Press O.
4Scroll to see your i nformation.
Line 1 and Line 2 are your phone numbers.
Private is your Private ID, the number that others
use to contact you using Pr ivate service. These
numbers appear w hen you receive yo ur alert
notification after enabling security on your phone.
