Making Calls
Answering
1Wait for the caller to finish spe aking.
2Press and hold the PTT button on the side of
your phone. Begin talkin g aft er your phone emit s
a chirping sound.
3Release the PTT button to listen.
Ending
Press e. -or-
Press A under Exit.
A Private call ends auto matically if there is no
activity on the call for a few seconds.
Choosing a Number to Call
You can choose the number yo u want to call in
many ways:
•Enter the number on the keypad. See “Entering
Numbers From the K eypad” on page 11.
•Say a voice name into your p hone. S ee “Usi ng a
Voice N ame” .
•Use Speed Dial or Turbo Dial® to make a phone
call. See “Using Sp ee d D ial a nd T u rbo Dial ®” on

•Redial the last phone number called. See

•Select the number from the recent calls list. See

page 25.
•Select the number from Co ntacts. See “Making

•Select a number stored in Datebook. See

•Use One Touch PTT to make a Priv ate call. See

Using a Voice Name

If you have created a voice name in Contacts for
the number you want to call, you can use the voice
name to enter the number into your phone. See
page 28 for information on voice names.
To use a voice name to enter a number:
1Press and hold t until a prompt appears
telling you to say the vo ice name.
2Speaking into the mic rophone, say the v oice
name assigned to t he number you wan t to call.
