Accessory Safety Information
An extension cord should not be used w ith any
battery charger un less absolutely nec essary.
Use of an improper extension cord could result
in a risk of fire and elec tric shock. If an exte nsion
cord must be used, make sure that:
The pins on the plug o f the extension cor d are
the same number, size, and shape as those
on the plug of the charger.
The extension cor d is properly wired and in
good electrical condition.
The cord size is 18AWG for lengths up to 100
feet and 16AWG for lengths u p to 150 feet.
Do not operate any battery charger if i t has
received a sharp blow, has been dropped, or
has been damaged in any way; take it t o a
qualified service technician.
Do not disassemble a bat tery charger; take it
to a qualified service technician when service
or repair is required. Incorrect reassembly
may result in a risk of electric shock or fire.
Maximum ambient temperature around the
power supply or transformer of any battery
charger should not exceed 40°C (104°F).
The output power from th e power supply or
transformer mus t not exceed the ra ting given
on the Desktop Dual-Pocket Charger.
The disconnection from the line voltage is
made by unplugging the power supply from
the AC receptacle.
To reduce risk of electric shock, unplug any
battery charger fr om the outlet befor e
attempting any maintenance or cleaning.
For optimum chargin g pe r for ma nce, turn off the
radio product while char ging it in any battery
charger.
