Using the Phone lock feature

Enable the Phone lock feature to avoid unauthorised use of your handset.

To enable or disable the phone lock, perform the following steps:

1.Open the General settings menu using the steps in “Accessing the General settings menu” (page 150).

2.Press the Up or Down key to highlight the Security option.

3.Press the Select soft key.

4.Press the Up or Down key to highlight the Phone lock option.

5.Press the Select soft key.

6.Use the Dialpad to enter your PIN code.

7.Press the OK soft key.

8.Press the Up or Down key to choose the required option.

9.Press the Select soft key.

10.Press the Clr key one or more times to return to the idle display.

Automatic dialpad lock

The Automatic dialpad lock feature disables key input if you do not press any keys for a configurable period of time. To configure the number of seconds the system waits before enabling dialpad lock, change the “second value” timer in the Power save menu; if you configure this value
