6.Perform one of the following:

Press the Show soft key to view the selected image.

Press the Select soft key to use the selected image as your startup image.

7.Press the Clr key one or more times to return to the idle display.

Clearing the startup image

If you do not want to use a startup image, perform the following steps:

1.Open the Display menu using the steps in “Accessing the Display settings menu” (page 181).

2.Press the Up or Down key to highlight the Startup screen option.

4.Press the Up or Down key to select the None option.

5.Press the Clr key one or more times to return to the idle display.

To configure how long the handset remains idle before entering an energy-saving state, perform the following steps:

1.Open the Display menu using the steps in “Accessing the Display settings menu” (page 181).
