Canceling Registration/Re-registration

Re-registering the Handset Base Unit & Handset

If you want to re-register the cordless handset to the base unit or a different base unit of the same model, you need to register it to that base unit. The cordless handset will be given a new extension number of that base unit. Only one cordless handset can be registered at a time.

Make sure the base unit and the other cordless handsets are not being used. Have both the cordless handset and base unit nearby during registration.

If you have canceled handset registration at a previous base unit (p. 68), start from step 6.

1Cordless handset: Press [CONF/FUNCTION].

2	Cordless handset:
		Telephone
	Press [ ] at “Telephone”.
3	Cordless handset:
		Initial setting
	Scroll to “Initial setting” by pressing
	[ ] or [ ], then press [ ].
4	Cordless handset:
		Registration
	Scroll to “Registration” by pressing [ ] or
	[ ], then press [ ].
5	Cordless handset:
		HS registration
	Press [ ] at “HS registration”.

6Base unit: Press [MUTE].

•The MUTE indicator flashes. After the MUTE indicator starts flashing, the rest of the procedure must be completed within 1 minute.

7Cordless handset:

(1)Press the soft key ( OK ).

(2)Wait until 3 beeps sound and the display shows the new extension number.

• Registration is complete.

•You can stop registration by pressing [OFF] on the cordless handset and pressing [MUTE] on the base unit.

If you have not canceled the cordless handset registration at the previous base unit (p. 68), the handset number still remains on that base unit memory. To erase the handset number from the previous base unit, perform the following steps by using the base unit: (1) Press [FUNCTION/EDIT], (2) Press [MUTE], (3) Enter “335#”, and (4) Enter that handset number (1 to 3). 3 beeps sound, then the handset number is erased from the base unit memory.
