Editing an Item in the Phone Book Base Unit Handset

1	Press [ ] or [ ], then scroll to the desired

	item by pressing [ ] or [ ].
	• To search for the item by initial, see page 42.			456-7890
2	Base unit: Press [FUNCTION/EDIT].
					Enter name
	Cordless handset: Press the soft key (		).			ane

		EDIT
									=Next
3	Edit the name (p. 41), then press [ ].
					Enter name
	[ ] then go to step 4.				Jane Walker
	• If you do not need to change the name, press								=Next
4	Edit the phone number, then press [ ].
					Enter phone no.

	• If you do not need to change the number, press								=Next

•To delete a digit, press [ERASE] on the base unit or press [HOLD/CLEAR] on the cordless handset. To erase all of the digits, press and hold [ERASE] or [HOLD/CLEAR].

•To move the cursor, press [] or [].

5Base unit: Press [] (Save).

Cordless handset: Press the soft key ( SAVE ).

6Base unit: Press [STOP].

Cordless handset: Press [OFF].

Erasing an Item in the Phone Book Base Unit Handset

1Press [] or [], then scroll to the desired item by pressing [] or [].

• To search for the item by initial, see page 42.

2	Base unit: Press [ERASE].	Base unit example
	• To stop erasing, press [ ].	Clear?
	Cordless handset: Press [HOLD/CLEAR].
		=No ERASE=Yes
3	Base unit: Press [ERASE] again.
		Clear
	Cordless handset: Press [HOLD/CLEAR] again.

•“Clear” is displayed.

4Base unit: Press [STOP].

Cordless handset: Press [OFF].
