Making Calls

Using the Base Unit Base Unit

You can make a call by simply lifting the handset off the cradle and dialing a phone number. To hang up, place the handset on the cradle.

•“Talk” is displayed while using the handset.

To have a hands-free phone conversation

1Press [DIGITAL SP-PHONE].

•The indicator lights and “SP-phone” is displayed.

2Dial a phone number.

•The dialed number is displayed.

•After a few seconds, the display will show the length of the call.

•If you misdial, press [DIGITAL SP-PHONE]and start again from step 1.

3When the other party answers, talk into the MIC (microphone).

4To hang up, press [DIGITAL SP-PHONE].

•The indicator goes out.

For best performance, please note the following:

•Talk alternately with the other party in a quiet room.

•If you or the other party has difficulty hearing, press [] to decrease the speaker volume.

•You can switch to the handset by lifting it up. To switch back to the speakerphone, press [DIGITAL SP-PHONE].

To adjust the handset/speaker volume during a conversation

3 levels (High, Medium and Low) are available for the	Ex. Handset volume: High
handset and 8 levels for the speaker.

• The number of steps indicates the volume level.

•If you try to increase/decrease volume when it is at the maximum/minimum level, the base unit will beep 3 times.
