“No link to base. Walk closer to base and try again.” is displayed and an alarm tone sounds.

•The cordless handset has lost communication with the base unit. Walk closer to the base unit, and try again.

•Confirm the base unit’s AC adaptor is plugged in.

•Raise the base unit antennas.

•The cordless handset’s registration may have been canceled. Re-register the cordless handset (p. 68, 69).

Static, sound cuts in/out, fades. Interference from other electrical units.

•Move the cordless handset and the base unit away from other electrical appliances (p. 3).

•Walk closer to the base unit.

•Raise the base unit antennas.

•Press [] on the cordless handset to turn on the Clarity Booster feature (p. 31).

•If the unit is connected to a telephone line with DSL service, you may hear noise from the receiver or speaker during conversations. We recommend connecting a noise filter (contact your DSL service provider) to the telephone line between the base unit and the telephone line jack.

The base unit and/or cordless • The ringer volume is turned off. Set to HIGH,
