determining the line rate.

Attenuation(dB) –3, 0, +3, +6, +9, +12 The loss of signal strength of the
received DSL network signal,
assuming the far end was
transmitting at 13.5 dB.
Disconnected The line is disconnected.
SNR Margin(dB) –64 to +63.5 dB
in 0.5 dB increments The amount of increased noise the system can tolerate on the DSL
network interface without exceeding
a Bit Error Rate of 10–7.
Disconnected The line is disconnected.
