Using the Self-Timer

In self-timer mode, the picture is taken a fixed time after the shutter release button is pressed.

Use the 10-second self-timer when you want to be included in a group picture.

Use the 2-second self-timer to avoid camera shake when you press the shutter release button.

Focusing may be compromised if you move the camera while the self-timer lamp is blinking when taking still pictures.

• If you press the C button, recording movies will start after ten seconds (or two seconds).

To cancel the self-timer, press any button, such as the MENU button, while the second count is displayed.
